SpongeBob SquarePants, THE MUSICAL!

Just when we thought we had seen it all, a musical about SpongeBob drops off on Broadway. Critics have praised this musical from its previews. SpongeBob SquarePants is Nickelodeon 's most famous character. He (or should I say 'it'?) has its own TV show aimed at children, and as the show's opening sings "he lives in a pinnapple under the sea." The TV series' success has lead to the development of a Broadway musical following the same storyline. And apparently, the success is huge! SpongeBob SquarePants has been nominated for eleven Tony Awards this year. Some of the terms include best actor (Ethan Slater, a favourite, who plays none other than SpongeBob) best supporting actor (Gavin Lee, who plays the antagonist, Squidward) and the hugest term of all; best musical of the year. Take a look at this live performance of 'Hero is My Middle Name' at the TODAY Show and leave your comments below! Would you go see this show live on...

Clearly, it was not his first time hosting the ceremony; Neil proves in this performance that actors do sing live on Broadway. What do you think? Was the performance was "big" enough?
